Recreating Yourself - Finding Your Mission and Reaching Your GoalsĀ

Do you have a clear vision of what your true life's purpose may be and the goals you have chosen to achieve your mission?

The more lucid and clear you can visualize the outcome, the better chance you have of actualizing your dreams and working toward reaching your goals at the time you have chosen.  Although the steps you take may not be exactly as you had planned, it is healthy to be flexible and open to new ways, as you move forward.

Here are some steps to take:

Finding some solitude and comfort, take some deep breaths, and meditate on the things you love to do.

Think about what you would like to accomplish and experience that nurtures your soul, and can contribute to the betterment of others and the world. Think about what resonates with your inner being.

To bring more clarity to your vision, imagine yourself in a large banquet hall, draped with soft, velvet curtains; shimmering chandeliers; artful, elegant walls and ceilings and floors that sparkle and shine.  You are exquisitely dressed up and in a peaceful and harmonious mood. You glimpse at the long, expansive buffet, where there is a smorgasbord of delightful delicacies.  How do you feel?  What sounds do you you hear?  Experience being there with all your senses.  As you reach the buffet you realize it actually consists of a large variety of different possibilities that are there for you to partake in your lifetime - to fulfill your purpose. What do you see. What colors are they?  What resonates with you?  What will you put on your plate?

For all the things you've chosen, can you identify a reason why this is important for you to accomplish in your life?

Once you have formed your ideas, write a mission statement, using as many senses as you can. Include how you would feel, how things would look, what your life would be like, and so on...

Set goals with realistic time frames that are broken down into doable tasks and easily fit into your weekly schedule.

Set a date of completion for each goal.

Keeping the vision of your mission in your mind, write positive affirmations, in present tense, with words that describe your feelings, as if they have already occurred and you have reached your destination.  With clear visualization, deeply feel the emotions described.  Read these affirmations at least 2 times per day - preferably before you go to sleep at night and when awaken in the morning - as these are times when you may be most receptive.

Your creative unconscious believes this to be true, if it is a reality or a belief.  This idea is similar to when you're watching a movie, and even though you know the actors are just playing the part,  you feel the experience with deep impact, as if it was actually occurring.

Finally reward yourself for daily and weekly tasks. Be sure to nurture yourself and find activities to rejuvenate.

I received a magnet as a gift from two loved ones. Displayed in my home it reads, "Reach for the moon.  Even if you miss you will land among the stars."   (Anonymous)

Wishing you success and blessings in your endeavors.
