Fulfillment of Creative Self-Expression

Is there some form of creative expression that you would love to pursue, but have not yet tackled?  Or perhaps, is there anything that you can sense may be missing from your life, but you just don't really have a handle on what it is?  Is it possible that you are not giving yourself the time to even think about the notion of undertaking a project, let alone actually putting one into action?  And if you even did consider doing something, do you perceive this in a positive way, or does the thought of such a prospect leave you overwhelmed with feelings of low self-esteem and fearfulness; which translates into all kinds of resistance, procrastination, etc.?  Many of us do.

The old saying regarding the formula for creativity being 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration - may scare many of us away.  Deep concern that we are incapable of producing, may squelch the flames of excitement and place a damper on moving forward, if we perceive that the work will present us with difficulty and drudgery. Our apprehensiveness can stop us from beginning or carrying out such a potentially worthy project.

It is beneficial for us to look at creative self-expression in a different light. When we    have unexpressed gifts that may benefit others, we must believe in our hearts that we have something to contribute. If we can cherish the work and make a special place for it in our lives, despite our busy schedules and mountains of responsibilities, we can overcome all obstacles. In fact, we can be encouraged by becoming more mindful that we will find help from within, if we learn to find ways to stay connected to our inner wisdom, higher self, subconscious and Divine assistance,.

Now many accomplished people have admitted that they had thought they didn’t have it in them to fulfill their dreams, but somehow they persisted; and despite many odds, were able to succeed in their efforts. The main thing is to find what is in our heart that is yearning for expression, and recognize any resistance to that effort.  All of our duties and obligations will not go away, but if we progress toward the unfolding of our creative potential, and make use of the gifts that are unique to each and every one of us, we can make a difference in the world.
